Frequently Asked Questions
What type of hair do you use?
We offer premium 100% human hair extensions, including luxury Remy hair and elite Raw hair collections. Our hair is carefully selected to provide a soft, natural appearance with beautiful movement and long-lasting quality.
What is the difference between Raw Hair and Remy Hair?
Raw Hair is the highest grade of human hair. It is completely unprocessed, meaning it has never been coloured, chemically treated or altered. This makes it extremely soft, durable and customisable.
Remy Hair is premium human hair with all cuticles aligned in the same direction to create smooth, natural-looking extensions. It is available in a wide range of beautiful shades and textures.
How long do hair extensions last?
The lifespan of your extensions depends on the hair quality, extension method, how often they are worn and how well they are cared for.
With correct maintenance:
Luxury Remy Hair: approximately 12+ months
Raw Hair: 1–3+ years
Following your care guide and using suitable products will help maximise the lifespan of your extensions.
How many grams of hair do I need?
The amount of hair needed depends on your natural hair thickness, current length and your desired result.
General guide:
100g: Natural length and volume enhancement
150g: Fuller, more noticeable transformation
200g+: Maximum volume, glamour looks or clients with thicker hair
Your stylist can advise on the best amount for your desired result.
Can I colour my extensions?
Yes, human hair extensions can be professionally coloured; however, we recommend having this done by an experienced extension professional.
Raw hair offers the most flexibility for colouring because it has never been chemically processed. Lighter shades and blonde extensions require extra care due to the colouring process.
Can I curl, straighten and style my extensions?
Yes. Our human hair extensions can be styled just like your own hair.
Always use a heat protectant and avoid excessive heat styling to maintain softness and longevity.
Can I wash my extensions normally?
Yes, but extensions require a little extra care. Use sulphate-free products, avoid applying conditioner directly to bonds or attachments, and always ensure your extensions are fully dry after washing.
Can I sleep with my extensions in?
Yes, but we recommend brushing your hair before bed and securing it in a loose braid or low ponytail to help prevent tangling.
A silk or satin pillowcase can also help reduce friction and keep your extensions smoother.
Can I swim or go on holiday with hair extensions?
Yes, but chlorine, salt water and sun exposure can dry out human hair.
We recommend protecting your hair with a leave-in conditioner, tying it back while swimming and rinsing thoroughly with fresh water afterwards.
Which extension method is best for me?
This depends on your natural hair, lifestyle and desired look.
-
Genius Weft: Lightweight luxury volume with a seamless finish
-
Machine Weft: Maximum thickness and fuller transformations
-
Tape Extensions: Lightweight, discreet everyday wear
-
Nano Rings: Invisible individual strand placement
Many clients combine methods, such as a weft at the back with tapes or nanos around the sides for the most natural blend.
Can I wear extensions if I have fine hair?
Yes. Fine hair clients can achieve beautiful results with the correct method and weight selection.
Lightweight options such as genius wefts, tapes or nanos are often recommended for finer areas to avoid unnecessary stress on the natural hair.
Do hair extensions damage your natural hair?
When professionally fitted, correctly maintained and removed at the recommended time, extensions should not damage healthy natural hair.
Following your stylist’s aftercare advice is essential to maintaining both your extensions and your own hair.
Do you offer colour matching?
Yes. We offer a wide range of shades, including over 30 luxury colours. If you are unsure which shade is the closest match, we recommend sending a clear photo in natural lighting for guidance.
What if my colour is not an exact match?
Human hair comes in many natural variations, and sometimes a custom blend may be needed for the most seamless result.
Many clients use a combination of shades or a professional toner to achieve their perfect match.
Are extensions reusable?
Many extension methods can be reused when properly maintained.
Tape extensions can usually be re-taped, and some weft methods can be moved up and reused depending on the condition of the hair.
How often do extensions need maintenance?
Maintenance depends on the method used and your natural hair growth.
Your stylist will advise when your extensions need moving up, refreshing or replacing to keep them looking their best.
